Smoking - Handling the Pain
This article explains a few things about smoking, and if you're interested, then this is worth reading, because you can never tell what you don't know. When you ask smokers the cause for their smoking, their instant reply will be to de-stress. Suppose ...

Smoking - Making a Fool of Yourself

Smoking is a bad and expensive habit

Imagine waking up in the morning and not wanting that first cigarette.
What if you could actually go to a non-smoking restaurant and enjoy your meal without having to go outside and take a few puffs ever so often.
Wouldn't it feel good not having to pay the astronomical prices for one pack of "cancer sticks?"
You are not alone!
We all know that smoking is bad for us so why do so many people smoke? Because it is a thing we have become addicted to and an addiction is very hard to overcome.
You know you have a problem when none of the facts have any influence on your smoking habit.
Did you know that if you smoke you will be:
Twelve times more likely to die from lung cancer. Ten times more likely to die from some form of lung disease. Ten times more likely to die from cancer of the larynx. Six times more likely to die from heart disease. Twice as likely to die from a stroke.
On top of this it makes you stink and turns your teeth yellow.
Did all of this make you want to stop smoking? The thought might have crossed your mind but your final answer is most likely, NO. Am I right?
It takes much more than that to scare an avid smoker even though if you were to stop smoking today you could increase your chances of living from two to twelve times longer.
At the same time you could save thousands of dollars in medical expenses and the cost of cigarettes.
These are only a few examples of why you should stop smoking and not only that. You owe it to the once you love to stop.
It is much easier said than done because before a smoker stops smoking there is one thing he/she has to do.
They have to WANT to stop. Before anything else they have to want it. If you are at that point right now, all you need to do is to take action. By this I mean you need to find a way that works for you . Some can go cold turkey but for most people that does not work.
There are many different methods out there like:
Gum The patch Classes Programs Books And much more......
One last good reason to stop smoking. The non smokers are making it impossible for us to enjoy it. It is becoming illegal to smoke everywhere.
If we can't beat them, let's join them. It is healthier for us anyway.
